THE WHY BEHIND THE WAVES

A life shaped by the ocean.
A mission inspired by those who serve.

IT ALL STARTED WITH A QUESTION

For years I wrestled with one question:

Do I have more to offer my family, friends, and country than just riding waves?

The answer is yes.

THE OCEAN

Has shaped me, scared me, humbled me, and held me.

It's shown me who I am, and at times, who I need to be. Everything I know about discipline, Faith, and courage came from the water.

It's where I learned to prepare, endure, and maintain composure when chaos ensues.

THE TURNING POINT

It was a simple decision. If I'm not in uniform myself, I'll do everything in my power, and use every wave, every ounce of my platform to support those who are.

Then you start hearing the stories. The gut wrenching numbers behind the veteran suicide epidemic. The quiet weight friends still carry after service. That's when this stopped being a cause and quickly became a moral obligation.

Bigger Than Waves was born out of this conviction. To simply do what is right. To ride for those who stand for us.

Marcus and Amber Capone

Marcus served this country for 13 years in the SEAL Teams.
When he retired, the battle didn't stop, it changed. Depression, isolation, impulsivity, memory issues. A PTSD diagnosis with no treatment bringing relief.

Amber stood by him through it all. Faith, love, and grit kept their family together when everything else was falling apart.

Out of that fight, VETS was born. Because of what they've built, veterans across the country now have an opportunity to begin their healing journey.

Their story is told in, "In Waves and War" now streaming on Netflix. If you haven't seen it yet, watch it. Learn about what they've built. You'll understand why this matters.

BIGGER THAN WAVES

Faith lays the foundation.
Service gives it direction.
Purpose defines it.
Performance proves it.
